Government must guarantee resources for curriculum for excellence: Scott4.24.12pm BST (GMT +0100) Sun 28th Mar 2010 Commenting on the plans by the Education Secretary not to further delay the implementation of Curriculum for Excellence than the planned August roll out, Scottish Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Tavish Scott MSP said: “The Government must guarantee the necessary funding and resources to deliver Curriculum for Excellence in schools across Scotland. “Curriculum for Excellence is a fundamental change to how children learn and the SNP must make sure that the resources are in place for this. “Liberal Democrats called for clarity over the planned delivery in a debate in the Scottish Parliament a few weeks ago. “However, further details are needed from the Education secretary on what exams teachers will be teaching towards for secondary pupils. “The Education Secretary must make sure that there is proper support in place for teachers and pupils for its roll out in August.”
