SNP can no longer wrap themselves in flag over whisky industry - Brown

1.01.00am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 23rd Apr 2009

Commenting on the SNP’s criticism of the rise in whisky duty announced in the budget, Liberal Democrat Justice spokesperson Robert Brown MSP said:

“The whisky industry will find it difficult to understand how the SNP can bemoan the rise in whisky duty but at the same time push for minimum pricing, which the industry fears will do untold damage to their iconic product.”

“Angus Robertson needs to accept that the days of the SNP wrapping themselves in the flag are over.”
