Gordon Pell’s comments show how out of touch bank executives are - Carmichael

12.52.00pm GMT Thu 19th Mar 2009

Commenting on RBS Deputy Chief Executive Gordon Pell’s evidence to the Scottish Affairs Committee, Liberal Democrat Shadow Scotland Secretary, Alistair Carmichael said: “The most depressing aspect of today’s evidence from Gordon Pell was that, like many bankers, he clearly does not understand the sea change that has taken place in public opinion.

“His view that history will be kinder to Fred Goodwin than contemporary analysis shows just how out of touch our senior bank executives are.”
